Is it okay to write the word placenta in your comments?
Well, yes.....but actually, it's a jellyfish, the very first I've ever seen in this area. The beach was covered with them, on the "inland" side of Semiahmoo Spit, which seems very odd to me. I'll have to research and see why they would be there as opposed to the "ocean" side. I wanted to turn it over to see the underside, but couldn't figure out a way to do it without hurting it, so I left well enough alone.
